What to Expect Afterwards

It is normal for your skin to be red for a few hours after the treatment. In some cases, (usually only when needles over 1.0mm are used), the redness could persist for as long as two days. A little bit of itchiness is also possible due to the release of histamines. Dry skin, tightness, and tenderness are all common side effects. Avoid direct sunlight immediately after the treatment and be sure to use natural sun protection (SPF 30+) if you do need to venture outdoors.

The increased collagen production starts to take effect after around 48 hours, although clearly, visible improvement should begin to become noticeable after about 3-6 weeks into the treatment course, so it's important to be patient and consistent. You will soon notice benefits, with cumulative ongoing improvement over time - smoother, fresher-looking, skin with a more even tone.

We recommend taking before and after pictures at 0, 3, 6, 12, and 24 weeks so you can keep track of your progress. It can be very satisfying to see just how far you have come!
